A family in Nakuru Town is living in agony after one of their members went missing two weeks ago.
Gideon Kimotho, a driver at the Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS) in Nakuru went missing after dropping one of his bosses at a private hospital in Nakuru Town.
According to his father, John Kimotho, his son left the vehicle at the hospital's compound and has not been seen for the last 14 days.
"We have been looking for him in various hospitals and mortuaries in and around Nakuru to no success. We have even gone to Naivasha but we are yet to find him," Kimotho told journalists at the family's Nakuru home yesterday.
However, Kimotho's wife, Pauline Njeri said that her husband had allegedly eceived a letter from his employer accusing him of colluding with poachers.
This, Njeri says did not please her husband and she suspects could be the reason that led to his disappearance.
"It was on a Saturday when he went missing, but the previous day he had received a letter that accused him of helping poachers escape," Njeri said.
The family is now appealing to anyone with information on Kimotho's whereabouts to report to any police station.
