From a child who was mauled to death by a hyena to a woman whose goats were killed by a lion, KWS continues to be in the spotlight for all the wrong reasons.Just like the National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) is suffering from a huge PR nightmare so is the Kenya Wildlife Service over its apparent failure to manage the human-wildlife conflict in the country.Stories of innocent people being attacked by wild animals are becoming all too common.Kenyans are becoming all used to them and the danger is that they will become numb to them.Victims families have accused the service for delayed or lack of compensation, a reality which KWS says has been occasioned by lack of funds. The frequency of these attacks continue to contribute to the service's PR nightmare and the only way to address that nightmare is to prevent these attacks.
