Kangundo MP Kyengo Maweu has appealed to Governor Alfred Mutua and his deputy, Bernard Kiala to stop wrangling and work towards developing the county.
Kyengo said the county cannot develop with the supremacy wars being fought by the two leaders.
Speaking in Kangundo town on Thursday, Kyengo said the wrangling between the two leaders had negatively affected development in the county.
"The governor chose his deputy for himself," the MP said.
"He was not forced to work with him. But why can't they realise that they are slowing development by wasting time hurling insults and accusations against each other?"
"No investor would want to invest in the county when the top leaders cannot see eye to eye."
The MP spoke a day after the Senate postponed the grilling of Governor Mutua after Mr Kiala accused him of mistreatment.
Kiala is also said to have filed a similar case at the High Court seeking for justice after accusing the governor of mistreatment.
