National Assembly Deputy Speaker Joyce Laboso has labeled Bomet Governor Isaac Ruto ‘coward ‘who cannot withstand opposition.
The two leaders have been engaging in public spat with Ruto accusing Jubilee of planning to rig in favour or Laboso in 2017 elections.
Speaking on Sunday at Bomet stadium, Laboso said she was confident of capturing the seat, attributing her popularity to ‘tremendous’ work as Sotik MP.
“Sometimes I think he (Ruto) is a coward who cannot withstand pressure from opposition. He doesn’t want to see people thriving politically but he should be ready for a challenge,” she said.
“My tremendous work in Sotik is a reflection to my support across the county and I am ready for the big job. I am not scared and I depend on support that I have gained on my own. All candidates have equal chances and he should not just target me,” she added.
Ruto who was speaking few miles from the area expressed his confidence of being re-elected and faulted Jubilee government of funding Laboso.
