Sotik MP Joyce Laboso has dismissed a rally organized by Bomet Governor Isaac Rutto on Saturday as 'unnecessary and uncalled for'.
Rutto, a fierce critic of Jubilee administration hosted top opposition leaders led by Raila Odinga in his home turf.
And on Tuesday, Laboso said the rally lost direction when speakers directed insults to herself and Deputy President William Ruto.
"The rally was unnecessary and uncalled for. The speakers directed their energy in insulting me and the Deputy President. They discussed nothing concrete," she told reporters.
Laboso, who also doubles as National Assembly Deputy Speaker added: "We expect people to discuss issues affecting the country and propose solutions. Such rallies are unfortunate in our country."
She is among the top competitors of Governor Isaac Rutto, who has often come under scathing attack from Jubilee administration.
Laboso will wrestle with former Konoin MP Julius Kones for Jubilee ticket nominations scheduled March this year.
