National Assembly Deputy Speaker Joyce Laboso was forced to periodically halt his roadside speeches in Bomet County on Friday when she rallied for reelection of President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy William Ruto.

Laboso, who also doubles as Sotik MP is set to face Governor Isaac Rutto of CCM party and who has since backed opposition NASA.

And in rather interesting final moments to elections, a section of residents in Chapalungu and Konoin constituencies were heard complaining of hiking food prices and Jubilee’s failed promises.

“Where is food, where is sugar! Jubilee must go Jubilee must go,” angry residents could be heard when Laboso was addressing a roadside rally in Konoin.

Ms. Laboso is a key supporter of the ruling Jubilee administration was recently labeled DP William Ruto’s project by Governor Isaac Rutto.

But recently, Laboso urged Jubilee top brass to leave South Rift for her, exuding confidence that she will deliver in August elections.

“I am confident that South Rift will vote for Jubilee and whoever thinks that he can wrestle it out from us, must be mistaken,” she said.
