Sotik MP Joyce Laboso has exuded confidence that she will beat outspoken Bomet governor Isaac Rutto in August elections.
The region is set to witness an epic battle in governorship that would see rivalry between Jubilee party and NASA coalition.
During manifesto launching in Bomet on Thursday, Laboso said she will prioritize agriculture which she said had dragged in the last four years.
“He cannot beat me because the ground has shifted and he knows he is going home,” she said amid laughter from an enthusiast crowd.
Laboso who also doubles as National Assembly Deputy Speaker added: “I will ensure agriculture is prioritized and we shall work with national government to ensure that happens.”
Should she be elected as Governor, Laboso will go to history as one of the first women to be elected governor.
She rose into public limelight when she replaced her late sister, Lorna Laboso as MP Sotik constituency in 2008 by election.
