Joyce Laboso says she will be busy organizing Jubilee party activities in the greater Rift Valley than focusing on beating her opponent Isaac Rutto in Bomet governorship.

The Jubilee nominee beat Julius Kones, a former Konoin MP to set a date with rebellious governor Isaac Rutto.

With Rutto keen to wrestle out Deputy President William Ruto’s influence in the region, Laboso is keen to deliver for her masters.

“Bomet is a Jubilee zone and I don’t have to camp here to win an election. Our people are ready for August and it’s only a matter of days,” she said on Monday.

She added: “There are a lot to be done by my party and that is why I am keen to focus in the entire reason. Bomet decided long ago.”

An opinion poll conducted by the Star put her at pole position to win the race having scored 56 percent against Rutto’s 39 percent.

Rutto, who was appointed NASA principal, is leading opposition campaigns in South Rift, an area believed to be Jubilee’s stronghold.
