Isaac Rutto says he will defeat National Assembly Deputy Speaker Joyce Laboso ‘badly’ because she is a ‘political project’ of Deputy President William Ruto.
The Bomet County Chief further says Laboso, who also doubles as Sotik MP has got no clear agenda for the people of Bomet other than ‘singing’ his name in political functions.
Rutto, who has since signed a re-election pact with opposition outfit NASA, is set to defend his seat on Chama Cha Mashinani.
“She is a William Ruto project and does not have any agenda for the Bomet people. I will beat her badly in elections because my people cannot accept political projects.
“He (Ruto) keeps on implanting projects across Rift Valley but that plan will fail badly. We are past that era of political trickery and I am confindent of a resounding victory in August,” added Rutto I his latest jibe of DP Ruto.
His CCM party would produce a Deputy Premier Secretary in August should NASA win the elections, a move that has been subjected to criticism.
Mr. Rutto, a long side Emurua Dikir MP Johanna Ng’eno and Narok West MP Patrick Ntutu have been persistent critics of Jubilee government in its Rift Valley strongholds.
