National Assembly Deputy Speaker and Bomet governor hopeful Joyce Laboso has warned National Super Alliance (NASA) leaders against intimidating the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC).
Labogo accuses NASA of allegedly interfering with IEBC affairs with the agenda of discrediting the commission work as it prepares for the August 8 polls.
According to the Deputy Speaker, NASA has sensed defeat in the August polls and wants to frustrate IEBC work.
“NASA should stop poking holes into IEBC affairs and instead allow the independent commission to do its work as per the constitution,” she said in an opinion article published in the star.
Laboso said that NASA leaders continued criticism of IEBC aims at painting a negative picture against the Wafula Chebukati led commission ahead of the August 8 polls.
She warns that they (Jubilee) will not allow NASA to intimidate or threatened the electoral commission.
The National Assembly Deputy Speaker at the same time warned NASA against propaganda campaigns.
She accused the Raila Odinga led Alliance of ‘cooking’ up false information about the Jubilee government.
Laboso said that it is wrong for NASA to criticize the government on the high cost of living yet they have not offered any solution.
“NASA should give us a break because as opposition they have a duty of providing alternative solutions and not helpless and malicious criticism” she said.
Laboso warned Kenyans against NASA saying the alliance has no agenda for the country.
The Deputy Speaker is battling to unseat Bomet governor Isaac Ruto and has vowed to show him dust in the August polls.
Governor Ruto who joined NASA a month ago is seeking to defend his seat on his Chama Cha Mashinani (CCM) Party after falling out with Jubilee.
Ruto has pledged to deliver over 1.5 Million South Rift votes to NASA.
