Laboso accuses governor Ruto of smear campaigns targeting to tarnish her name ahead of the August 8 polls.
The National Assembly deputy speaker claims that governor Ruto is allegedly spreading malicious information about her.
In an interview with the Standard, Laboso accuses Ruto of spreading rumors that she will sack all the county employees if she wins in the August 8 polls.
“Let Isaac Ruto respect me and stop speculating false information that is intended to hurt my character,” she said as quoted by the Standard.
Laboso urged Ruto to engage in issue based campaigns and stop dividing locals.
“There is no need for us (politicians) to engage in propaganda and malicious activities that could threaten the peace,” she added.
The governor hopeful said that Bomet people will make a decision on who to elect as their governor in the August 8 polls.
She urged her supporters to remain calm and desist from acts that could triggerviolence even if they are provoked.
Laboso is eyeing to unseat governor Ruto in the August polls.
The National Assembly deputy speaker who clinched the Jubilee Party ticket in the recently conclude nomination exuded confidence of sending governor Ruto home.
Ruto on the other hand says that he has the numbers to retain the seat.The governor also says that his development track record will see him re-elected in the August polls.
Governor Ruto joined NASA last month pledging to deliver over 1.5 Million votes to the alliance in the August polls.
Governor Ruto’s move to join NASA has been criticized by a section of Jubilee leaders saying that he has dug his political grave by associating with NASA.
