Employment and Labour Relations Court was on Friday opened in Garissa County by the judiciary.

The opening of the court will enable residents who used to travel to Nairobi have their issues addressed in Garissa. 

According to reports, the court will serve Mandera, Wajir, Mwingi and Bura.

Kennedy Kandet, the registrar of the court speaking when he meet the residents said that the aim of the judiciary is to ensure Kenyans access services with minimum cost.

He noted that the judiciary plans to open Labor Relations courts in all 47 counties in the next few years.
