The Labour Party (LP) has constituted the National Elections Board (NEB) and Appeals Board.
The party leader Ababu Namwamba and chairperson Julia Ojiambo, said this will help it conduct free, fair primaries ahead of the August 8 elections.
During the Tuesday event at the LP offices, Nairobi, Rev Richard Isindu was sworn in as the NEB chairman, Caroline Chepchirchir (member), Benedict Omillo (member), Hudson Ojiambo (member), and Tom Namwamba (member).
Pastor John Osimbo was appointed Appeals Board chairman, Mariaclara Kerubo Mayaka (secretary), and Moffan Ochwala as a member of the Board.
Speaking after they were sworn into office, Ababu said the NEB would be announced to the media, officially, Wednesday April 5.
"We are now ready to process you, through the rules and regulations of the party and to present you formally, to the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) for approval as a candidate to fly the star party flag in the 2017 general election,'' the Budalangi MP told the new team, Tuesday.
The Labour Party also introduced Philip Kiyeng', as the Uasin Gishu County senatorial aspirant.
