Deputy president William Ruto has urged school headteachers not to lock out candidates from sitting for national exams due to lack of school fees.

Speaking at Sigoro Secondary School, Eldama Ravine, Baringo County on Sunday, Ruto noted that teachers should not take advantage of students lacking school fees to lock them out sitting for exams. 

Ruto said that the government has catered for 1.5 million students from both primary and secondary for their studies.

The DP urged parents to work hard to ensure that children get education for their better future. 

He assured parents and students that the 2016 national examinations will be credible without exam irregularities.
