Turbo Constituency Development Fund Chairman Mr Isaac Lagat has urged head teachers, principals and school boards to ensure CDF funds are used appropriately and free from corruption.

Speaking during a project management committee workshop, Lagat said the workshop is meant to equip managements with skills and knowledge on running of projects and allocation of bursaries to reduce wastage of resources. 

"We are training headteachers, principals and managements on how to use and manage funds well, procurement process and also ways of reducing wastage and enhancing transparency," he said. 

He said in undertaking their projects, they should follow government procedures in procurement and tendering.

He said tenders should always be awarded to the lowest bidder.
