Laini Saba area chief, Ombati has issued a stern warning to people engaging in illegal activities noting that the law would soon catch them.

Speaking on Monday during the Sauti Yetu Forum, the administrator noted that he has received reports on the existence of a criminal gang that is terrorizing the local residents.

The chief noted of a recent incident that a local gang disconnected power cables in the area putting several homesteads in total darkness. Ombati clearly expressed his dissatisfaction on such dealings, sending a firm warning notice to the youth. He also assured the public that his office has made arrangements with the police to conduct a night long patrol so that such outlawed gangs can be brought to book.

The chief went ahead to congratulate all law abiding citizens who have been offering intelligence reports to his office to continue doing the same, as it is the only way to tame dangerous elements in the society.

Other regional leaders present in the meeting included the area MCA, David Kitavi and the area ward administrator. All the leaders present urged the residents to maintain peace and shun criminal acts as it is the only way of achieving developments in the area.
