Laiser Hill 15s rugby team has stormed the semi-finals of the 2017 Brookside National Secondary Schools Term One Games held at Nairobi School.
In the Wednesday tie, the Rift Valley Region champions thrashed the Nairobi kingpins 31-0 to file their second win at the competition.
Laiser had earlier crushed Coast Region kings Galana High 62-0 in their maiden match on Tuesday.
Johnstone Olindi aided his side with three tries to show that the 2015 national champions meant business at the event.
Their Captain Joel Inzugha has exuded confidence that his team has all it takes to go for the silverware.
"It was a physical match but we were able to use our wingers who gave us an edge in the match. We turn our attention to the semis now," Inzugha said.
Olindi, who formerly played for Upper Hill, made his first try on the 28th mark, adding to Gregory Simiyu's opening try.
However, James Were failed to convert the two resultant kicks and the team went to the breather with a 10-0 lead.
In the second half, Olindi continued his impressive show as he scored his third with Were successfully converting the resultant kick.
Two minutes later, a perfect exchange saw Simiyu set up Olindi to make another score that raised them to a 24-0 lead when Were converted.
It would be Billy Kipchirchir whose try would seal the fate of the Nairobians to end the tie 31-0.
Laiser will now hope to replicate the same form when they take against East African Champions Kakamega High today Thursday in their final Pool B fixture.
