The family of one of the victims of the Lake Nakuru chopper crash victim, whose body is still missing, have given up on finding it.

Sam Gitau's body has never been recovered almost three months since the accident.

Recovery operations has also since been stopped at the lake.

On Sunday, Gitau's family announced that they will hold a fare well service at the lake for their son.

"The family and friends of the late Sam Gitau would like to bring to your attention that the Farewell Service for our Son, brother and friend will be held on Saturday 20th, January 2018," a statement said.The service will take place at the Lake Nakuru National Park starting at 9am. The other victim whose body is still missing is that of John Mapozi.
