Newly-elected Lamu governor Fahim Twaha has vowed to firmly deal with corrupt county employees.
The county chief affirmed that his administration will not condone any form of corruption, vowing to take an action against anyone found culpable.
He further cautioned against misappropriation of County funds, pledging to ensure proper utilization of County resources.
"I believe in a corruption-free working environment and that is why I'm sending an early warning to any corrupt county officer out there. Better quit before I reach you, because I won't stomach corruption in my administration," he said.
To ensure that the County employees are of impeccable integrity, Twaha said he would ensure proper and thorough vetting of all candidates who apply for positions in his government.
