Photo/ coastcounties.comIn what may be a big blow to President Uhuru Kenyatta, Lamu Women Representative Shakilla Abdalla has declared that the county is a NASA zone.Speaking on Wednesday, Abdalla who is also the Wiper deputy party leader said the recent tour by Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho, Kilifi Governor Amason Kingi and their Taita Taveta counterpart John Mruttu in the region is an indicator that the region will support opposition's bid for State House.Though Raila Odinga trounced President Uhuru Kenyatta in the county during the 2013 elections, the region is slowly acquiring a swing-county status ahead of the August polls with President Uhuru Kenyatta making regular trips into the region in a bid to sway them into Jubilee.Despite the challenges facing the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC), the lawmaker exuded confidence that the electoral body will deliver free, fair and credible elections. However, she appealed to the Wafula Chebukati-led body to test their systems at least 10 times to guarantee the credibility of the polls, adding that Kenyans will not accept "manipulated results because of system failure".
