Kigochi was addressing residents who were protesting on Wednesday over increased corruption at Kisii Land's office.
“Corruption is illegal and punishable by law. The police officer with the help of EACC officers will conduct a crackdown to arrest and prosecute corrupt officials,” he said.
He urged State officers in Kisii County to maintain high levels of integrity and serve residents with transparency.
“Government officers have a mandate to serve the people with transparency. Members of the public should report any officer asking for a bribe before he or she is served to authorities for legal action to be taken,” Kigochi noted.
The county chief urged locals to walk into any public office to get services because it is their right.
