Christopher Ongale speaking to this writer on Friday said he is taking action against the two students because they have gone against the agreement they had made.

Mr Ongale added that he must recover the money owed to him by Victor Okumu and Jackson Omondi because the rent collected from the apartment is used to support his family.

"This is wrong, I am going to take legal action against the two because we agreed how they are going to pay the money that back dates to November last year. Am going to use all the means possible to find them," said Ongale.

The two fourth year students escaped from the High View apartment after increased pressure from the landlord to clear the arrears that date back to last year November.

"I was pressuring them to pay the money because it was agreed they were to pay half by last week and another half by end month," said Ongale.

"I spoke to them on Tuesday and they told me to come and collect half of my money on Thursday. When I came today I found the door wide open and the house empty. It occurred to me that they had escaped after trying to reach them on phone but in vain."

Ongale said that the two students had explained their financial situation and promised to pay the money in two installments and the idea of escaping was surprising to him.

"From this point, am going to the police and also engage the school administration to try and find a way I can get my money because I use the rent to feed my family," said Ongale.
