Langas Ward Representative Francis Munya has asked the police to intensify patrols saying that cases of criminals roaming the ward have risen up.
The MCA who addressed locals at Eldoret town on Thursday, complained that cases of crime have escalated.
He said police have to work tirelessly in order to combat criminals allegedly causing havoc in Langas town.
“The police must work extra hard and assure residents of their safety,” he said, adding that local leaders will support the police in fight against crime.
The MCA noted that safety of residents and their property must be given more priority by the national and the county government.
Munya at the same time asked local leaders to sensitize the public on the need for embracing Nyumba Kumi.
He observed that Nyumba Kumi has the potential of addressing key security issues in the county.
Meanwhile, the MCA wants the county government to implement development projects in all wards.
He accused the county government of favouring certain wards in implementation of key projects including roads.
“Governor Jackson Mandago should not discriminate against any ward or sub county in-terms of rolling out development projects,” he said.
