Some twenty three chiefs pursuing computer studies in Lari constituency graduated on Monday at a colourful ceremony graced by area MP Mburu Kahangara.
The chiefs and their assistants were undergoing a training on computer use at the Landmark International College.
Francis Githuku, a tutor at the college, said it was challenging teaching the administrators due to their tight schedule.
“Teaching adults is challenging since you have to be patient with them,” said Githuku.
However, he thanked all the chiefs for their cooperation and enthusiasm in pursuit of technological education.
Joseph Gatungu, Magina chief said the knowledge and skills gained on computer use would enable him to serve the people better especially in communication.
“I have a Facebook account, and now with the knowledge I have received I will be in a good position to operate it,” said Gatungu.
Escarpment Assistant chief, Joseph Kamau said lessons were challenging in terms of balancing their time.
“You know we were still going on with our duties so it was much challenging to balance the two,” said Kamau.
Meanwhile area MP Mburu Kahangara who graced the occasion urged people to make efforts to learn since the country is moving from papers to machines.
“We will expect the chiefs to send their reports digitally with ease to their superiors and even when communicating to the people of their locations,” said Kahangara.
