Kiambu County government has been told to improve state of roads in Lari Constituency.

Speaking to the press when he toured the Constituency on Tuesday, area MP Mburu Kahangara complained that most road networks in the area are in poor state.

The MP said that poor road networks have affected the daily activities of residents especially those trading on milk and potato.

“Governor William Kabogo should quickly improve road networks in this area, farmers are complaining about their perishable goods which get spoilt on the way to markets due to delays on roads caused by poor state of the roads,” said Kahangara.

The MP claimed that the county has enough money that should be channeled to road repairs and other projects. He also stated that proper road networks are important and would help in realisation of development.

Kahangara further appealed to the county government to improve on the drainage system saying that with the onset of rains, major towns and villages in the Constituency is most likely to experience flooding.

Meanwhile, the MP has asked Members of County Assembly (MCAs) in Lari sub-county to work in unity for the benefit of the constituents and for the sub-county to emerge the best in terms of service delivery to the people.

Kahangara said that unity should be spearheaded by every leader and citizen, “Our MCAs should be on the frontline in uniting the public,” said Kahangara.

The MP pledged to work on issues facing the people noting that he will collaborate with other leaders that have the interests of the people at heart.
