Lari sub county commisioner Bernard Kinyua has said that law enforcers in the area will conduct 24 hour patrols to curb criminal activities ahead of the December festive season.
Speaking at Wida estate, the commissioner said that security measures are in place to ensure safety of residents.
The commissioner said that more serveillance patrols will be conducted in every ward in the sub county. “We have put in place enough security measures to ensure our people are safe,” he said.
Kinyua however urged residents to volunteer information that will help police nail criminals and other law breakers.
He stated that community policing is key in the fight against crime and thate residents should take the initiative of working with the police.
Kinyua added that areas perceived to be the hub for criminals have been mapped out and that police will not rest until all criminals are put behind bars.
The commissioner indicated that campaigns to enlighten the residents on the Nyumba Kumi security initiative is ongoing. He said residents from various wards in the sub county have already been taught on how Nyumba Kumi works.
At the same time, the commisisoner urged locals to work togethe in order to realize development. He indicated that working together in peace and unity will propel the sub county in terms of socio-economic development.
