Football fans who were eagerly waiting for the Cecafa Senior Challenge tournament that was scheduled to kick off on November 25 will have to wait for much longer, after the tourney was pushed to December 3.

The games, which will be hosted in the country, were for the second time rescheduled, much to the amusement of many football lovers.

The tournament was initially planned for November 17, before it was pushed ot November 25.

According to emerging reports, the matches will now kick off on December 3 to 17th across five stadia in the country.

Cecafa secretary general Nicholas Musonye, who spoke to Goal.com, did not confirm or refute the news.

“I cannot comment on that issue for now. We are in a meeting and will have a press conference tomorrow (Thursday) to give updates on the tournament. I will get back to you,” Musonye said as quoted by Goal.

According to the organizers, 12 teams are set to take part in the tournament, although unconfirmed reports indicate that 10 teams will be participating.
