The coastal region is set to host a headteachers forum where they are expected to brainstorm on the challenges facing learning in the country and also come up with resolutions.
While assuring that security would be enough, Nelson Marwa revealed that about 10,000 teachers will descend on Mombasa County.
The tough-talking Marwa did not just talk about security, he also took time to advise the teachers on hygiene prompting some laughter.
''Hotels will be full and we are asking hotel owners to ensure that they maintain high standards of hygiene. We are also asking the teachers to be careful what they eat. They should not just eat anything because it is food. Don't run for anything just because you are hungry. Wash your hands very carefully.'' Mr. Marwa advised.
The forum will be a windfall for hotel owners who will be seeking to make a kill by providing accommodation and food to the participants.
