A form four boy, who is the son of Safaricom's head of security, Michael Kariuki, has shot himself dead at their family home in Lavington.
Nairobi DCI chief Ireri Kamwende said the student at Aga Khan secondary school, Nairobi shot himself, Tuesday evening using his father's pistol as reported by the Star.
The boy, Josiah Gathura, is said to have been alone at home during the incident.
He is suspected to have broken into his father's safe where he pulled the gun which he used to kill himself.
Police are yet to establish the motive behind the shooting.
