Parents in Kitengela town and its environs launched complaints against betting machines in the area.
They say their children may start engaging in criminal activities to get money for betting adding that some have gone to an extent of selling unsuspected house wares from their homes in a bid to raise money for betting.
The betting craze has seen several parents launch complaints at the Kitengela police station calling for action against those in the lucrative illegal business that targets teens.
The owners lack compliance licenses from betting authority and county government licenses. Kajiado East administrator Moses Kamalik who is leading the operation says the town has more than 500 portable betting machines which are a big threat to teen's morality in the town.
He says male teens are the most affected saying they will continue with the crackdown to clear the menace.
In two days at least 35machines have been confiscated to be operating illegally. The machines are operating in illegal places like Barber shops and even bars.
