Rarieda lawmaker Nicholas Gumbo has accused president Uhuru Kenyatta of failing to observe regional balance in the nomination of IEBC leaders.
According to the lawmaker, the Luo community has been sidelined for long in major government appointments.
Gumbo who is also the PAC stated that it is now a trend in sidelining the Luo community when it comes to the leadership of IEBC.
He cited the appointments that were made of the nominees into the then Interim Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IIEBC) and later appointments into the Isaak Hassan-led IEBC saying that no Luo was considered.
The Rarieda MP made the remarks during the close of Migwena sports and cultural festivals in Bondo.
