Mlolongo/Syokimau Member of County Assembly Rachel Ndambuki has urged leaders especially those from Machakos County to stop displaying their political differences in public.

Ndambuki said Cord and Jubilee leaders' frequent disagreements in public on critical issues were unhealthy and did not promote peace.

The MCA, who spoke to the press in Mlolongo town Thursday, said the previous spat in parliament sent negative message to Kenyans.

She said there was need for the leaders to get together and reconcile so that their images that they had created during the spat is rectified.

Ndambuki called on residents from the regions she represents to live peacefully and promote national cohesion and intergration arguing that Mlolongo and Syiokimau are cosmopolitan.

She told the residents to focus on developmental projects to improve their livelihoods and put a vail to the operations and drama of their elected leaders.

At the same time, she advised bodaboda operators to be wary of their customers.

Ndambuki said transporting criminals exposed them and other people to danger.

She urged chiefs from the region to ensure residents closely worked with both residents, stakeholders and Nyumba Kumi Committees already formed in the region.

Ndambuki said chiefs who fail to perform their duties effectively should be punished and those who stood out to be outstanding in their jobs be rewarded by the state.
