Nairobi-based lawyer James Agata has exuded confidence in winning the West Mugirango parliamentary seat.

In an interview with this writer on Wednesday, Agata disclosed that he was ready and confident of defeating otherseasoned politicians who are eyeing for the seat.

"I do not compete with anyone in politics. I compete with the problems facing the people of West Mugirango constituency. The I hold regarding the challenges our people are facing is what is driving my quest for this position," he said.

"I have been tried and tested. Therefore I believe that the constituents have a lot of trust in my candidature. I beatmost experienced politicians during the 2013 general elections and I hope that I stand at a better position of winning this time,"he added.

He further indicated that he will be vying on a party affiliated to the Opposition alliance NASA, noting that the outfitrepresents the aspirations and dreams of most Kenyans.

He is set to battle it out with lawyers Steve Mogaka (Wiper), Kemosi Mogaka (Ford Kenya), James Mamboleo (Jubilee),educationist Julius  (ODM) among others.

They are seeking to replace James Gesami who has since declared an interest in the Nyamira governorship seat.
