Lawyer Nelson Havi has faulted Deputy President William Ruto over double speak concering 2022 politics.
According to Havi, the presidential support endorsements the DP is receiving goes against his (Ruto's) earlier call on leaders to concentrate on development rather than 2022 politics.
"Not so long ago, DP Ruto asked us to concentrate and focus our discussions on national development and not 2022 elections. Now I see everyone endorsing him for President in 2022. Development comes very fast in Kenya! Vision 2030 achieved instantly," tweeted Havi on Monday.
On March 4, the DP called on all leaders to keep off politics and focus on service delivery to the people.
"The debate of who will get what post in 2022 is not necessary now. Our agenda now as leaders should be to concentrate on fulfilling the pledges we made to the people during the electioneering period,” remarked the DP as quoted by the Nation.
However, the DP received 2022 presidential bid support from opposition Coast leaders while he was on a tour of the area on Sunday.
The announcement by the leaders comes days after President Uhuru Kenyatta and opposition leader Raila Odinga met and decided to bury their differences and unite the country.
