Lawyer Nelson Havi has made an appeal to the Law Society of Kenya (LSK) concerning remarks made by Interior CS Fred Matiang'i.
In a tweet on Wednesday, Havi remarked that Matiang'i was on a rampage when he appeared before Parliament's Security Committee.
According to Havi, LSK should restore order as Matiang'i villified and threatened judges for doing their work.
"Good morning @LSKPresident. CS Matiang’i was on a rampage yesterday before the Parliamentary Committee, vilifying and threatening Judges and Lawyers for doing their work properly. Could @lawsocietykenya stamp its authority on the issue and restore order," tweeted Havi.
On his part, Rarieda Mp Otiende Amollo believes Matiang'i's submissions were stage managed to sanitize acts of illegality and impunity.
In his view, the parliamentary process has no effect on the Judicial process in the country.
"Someone tell Matiangi that a Convict Does NOT Judge the Judge! And Stage-Managed attempts to sanitize Acts Of Illegality & Impunity by the Parliamentary Committee are of No Moment to the Judicial Process," reiterated Amollo.
While appearing before the Parliamentary Security Committee on Tuesday, Matiang'i attacked some of Judicial officers who he alleged are conniving with certain lawyers and civil society groups to impede the progress of the government.
