A lawyer who had filed a petition to oust Auditor General failed to show up before the Finance, Trade and Planning Committee.
The Committee was organised so that Emmanuel Mwagonah could defend his case why he wanted Ouko ousted from office. He instead submitted a letter requesting the committee to consider a written confession so as to avoid public and press scrutiny claiming that he feared for his life.
According to the Daily Nation, Mr Mwagonah had set three conditions one which stated that he had to meet the committee in a closed session.
The lawyer has been the second person to file a petition against the Auditor General within a span of three weeks. T
he petitions have been claimed to have a political agenda with many politicians seeing the attacks as a retaliation to his affiliation with CORD.
