Few days after he emerged following reports of his disappearance, Eldoret-based lawyer Simon Lilan now claims he was beaten, before a police officer.
The lawyer who came to limelight after claiming the late Kanu-era Nominated MP Mark Too was assassinated, said he was attacked by guards at KVDA plaza, Eldoret.
"I was beaten up by six guards as an armed Administration Police (AP) officer at the building watched. They blocked me from accessing my office and forced me out of the lift, before beating me up,'' he said.
Addressing the press, Lilan indicated the guards injured his head and chest, saying he already reported the case to Eldoret police station.
Lilan however linked the incident to a case where he sought to block Too's burial.
He had warned that his life was in danger, before he went missing.
