The tribal clashes that befell the country is what motivated Lone Felix, a former Kenyatta University Student's Association (KUSA) president to come up with a peace campaign themed 'My Kenyan Story'.

Just a week after its launch, the peace initiative is now headed to the cosmopolitan Nairobi slums where a number of people from almost all 42 Kenyan tribes live. In the campaign, Kenyans are given a chance to air out their true life experiences on how they were able to peacefully live with each other considering their different values in their lives.

Felix, who is currently a practicing lawyer, said he was motivated by his life story back in his high school when a samaritan offered to pay for his school fees without focusing on his tribe. He expressed his gratitude and stated that if it were not for the good-willed man, he would be wallowing in the streets given that his mother is a single one who could barely fend for their family needs.

The campaign has so far dominated online social sites with followers of over ten thousand engaging in the campaign and telling their own personal stories that make them proud to be Kenyan.
