[Photo|Nelson Havi]High Court Advocate Nelson Havi has joined Judges and Magistrates Association, several lawyers, the opposition, civil society among other institutions and Kenyans, in defending the Judiciary, particularly the Supreme Court. This follows Opposition's (NASA) presidential petition that saw Supreme Court judges nullify the election of President Uhuru Kenyatta, in the August 8 elections.Since the nullification, the Executive has been attacking the Supreme Court led by Chief Justice David Maraga, which ordered for a fresh presidential election.Nelson Havi of HAVI and Company Advocates called on the legal fraternity and the country to vote out Uhuru and his Deputy William Ruto in the fresh polls, slated for October by the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission."Friends, Learned friends, Clerks, Magistrate and Judges, independence of Judiciary is under threat. Vote out Uhuru Kenyatta and William Ruto," he said, on Twitter.Havi who at first predicted victory for Nasa in the Supreme Court presidential petition, thanked judges who unanimously agreed that the election, as Nasa argued, had been faced by irregularities and illegalities."God bless Justices Philomena Mwilu, Smokin Wanjala and Isaac Lenaola who together with CJ Maraga kept their oath to rule justly. Noble Kenyans," he added.
