A section of KANU leaders have accused president Uhuru Kenyatta of giving the party a raw deal despite supporting his reelection.
Speaking in Rongai during the thanksgiving ceremony of area MP Raymond Moi, KANU secretary general Nick Salat and North Rift KANU Chairman Jonathan Bii said their party has not benefitted from Uhuru's appointments.
“We gave our best, we used our resources and we thought the president would consider our efforts,” said Salat.
However addressing the same gathering, Baringo senator and KANU chairman Gideon Moi assured the members that the party will be rewarded.
“I am at peace with President Uhuru Kenyatta, let us give him time to deliver on the promises he made to us. He is going through difficult moments in his administration but ultimately he will remember us for he knows,” Moi said.
Other leaders present included Tranzoia Governor Patrick Khaemba, Tiaty MP Kamket among other leaders.
