Controversial columnist Makau Mutua has made remarks likely to elicit hot reactions among Kenyans.
Makau, known for his hard hitting pieces against the Jubilee government, has said a section of political supporters in Kenya should stop claiming that leaders are annointed by God.
"Jubilee sycophants must stop saying leadersare annointed by God. Did God annoint (Adolf) Hitler, Amin, Marcos, Mobutu, Franco, Pinochet, Mussolini?" he wrote on his Facebook page.
The remark will likely attract heated arguments especially bearing in mind that a good population in Kenya are believers who associate leadership to the teachings in their Holy books.
