Kiambu County Assembly leader of majority Patrick Chege has called on leaders to stop politicking and focus on delivering services to the people.
Speaking on Sunday when he attended a church service at St Andrews Church in Gitothua Ward, Chege said some leaders were engaging in petty and selfish politics at the expense of providing services.
He stated that it's high time politicians and leaders worked together for purposes of promoting development instead of wasting time.
“Politicians and leaders who were elected by the people should know that they owe the people services and must work to ensure that locals have access to services,” he said.
He said the country will only develop if all leaders work together.
He warned that wrangles and unnecessary politicking is a hindrance to realisation of development goals.
Chege who is also Gitothua Ward Representative urged elected and nominated leaders to support Kiambu County government, saying it is keen to fulfill development pledges.
