The Kisumu County Citizens Watch says there are numerous uncompleted projects such as the expansion of roads, construction of classrooms and distribution of clean water for domestic use among others.

Speaking in Kisumu, Kisumu County Citizens Watch chairperson John Oginga Oketch challenged the county government to ensure that the funds allocated for various development projects are properly managed.

He said that Kisumu County would have not been ranked as the worst in terms of development by the World Bank if at all the development funds were channelled to the necessary projects.

Oketch also advised the county government to crack whip on its employees who are not adding any value to the county’s development arena.

He however lauded Kisumu county governor for the recent reshuffle of some CeCs.

Oketch said that this is a clear indication that the heads have started rolling in aligning service delivery to the residents of Kisumu County.

On the other hand, Oketch urged elected leaders in Kisumu County to give the county government to deliver their pre-election pact to the residents. He said that this can only be achieve through adequate team work.
