A section of leaders from Siaya County have explained why NASA leader Raila Odinga did not invite NASA co-principals to his meeting with President Uhuru Kenyatta on Friday.
The leaders stated that President Uhuru Kenyatta does not need other NASA co-principals Kalonzo Musyoka, MusaliaMudavadi, and Moses Wetangula as much as he does their leader Raila Odinga.
Led by Bondo Member of Parliament Gideon Ochanda and former Alego MP Sammy Weya, the three "were crying foul over nothing.
"They further termed the complaints from the principals as trivial, adding that their presence in the Kenyatta-Odinga meeting was not necessary," said Ochanda.
Ochanda said that the complaints from the NASA leaders were uncalled for.
He said that all along, political and religious leaders have been calling for a dialogue between the President and the opposition leader.
"The call has been that Raila Odinga needs to meet Uhuru. It has not been that Wetangula, Kalonzo, Mudavadi or anybody else need to meet Uhuru… Raila as leader of NASA and Uhuru as president… Those are people in completely different levels," said Ochnda.
