Cord leader Raila Odinga and Amani Party Leader Mudavadi have paid tribute to Fidel Castro the former Cuba President who died on Friday night.
Raila Odinga who named his late first born son after the Cuban leader, paid tribute to the fallen revolutionary.
He said that the leader was a true leader who held on to his ideologies and could not accept to bow to pressure from the international community.
"Castro stood very firmly on the side of Africans who were fighting for the continent’s liberation from colonialism especially in Congo, Angola, Mozambique, Namibia and South Africa," he said.
On his part, Mudavadi said that Fidel Castro's death is an end to an era.
Amani leader Musalia Mudavadi further hailed Castro as an "iconic figure who gave meaning and hope to Third World countries and its people".
Castro was 90 years at the time of his demise.
