Leader affiliated to ODM have reacted following a decision by ODM party leader Raila Odinga to call an urgent meeting.
ODM party treasurer Timothy Bosire said the meeting will help the party to deliberate on a number of issues aimed at strengthening the party.
"The parliamentary group meeting comes in awake to discuss the party's future. The party will also discuss the recent tours DP William Ruto has been making to regions perceived to be opposition's stronghold," he said.
The former Kitutu Masaba MP said the handshake will also be discuss during the meeting scheduled to take place on Tuesday next week.
Bosire noted that a section of ODM politicians who have been associating with DP Ruto may know their fete after the meeting.
A Kisii County based ODM politician Samuel Omwando said Raila's meeting will see politicians who have gone against the party's constitution punished.
"Raila must punish leaders who have gone against the party constitution by associating themselves with DP Ruto who is a threat to opposition," he said.
Omwando urged elected leaders on ODM tickets not to snub the meeting because it is meant for the good of the party.
