A day after Kitutu Masaba MP Shadrack Mose was given two days to resign, a section of leaders have come to his defense.
Among issues Mr. Mose, the first term Jubilee MP is accused of include unfair distribution of bursaries and recruitment of retirees to CDF offices.
On Monday at Gesima, Nyamira senator Okong'o Mogeni (ODM) urged locals to give the MP time to initiate proper structures before judging him.
"We had a protracted electioneering period and it is quite premature to recall some of these leaders. Just give them time to put mechanisms in place," he said.
Similar sentiments were shared by Mose's fiery competitor Victor Swanya, who asked locals to give MP time to deliver on his mandate.
"We do not want him to hide on the fact that we want to kick him out of office. Let his use his time well before we do the necessary in 2022," he said.
Should Mose fail to resign, a section of residents have already begun removal process through a petition which was seen in various social media forums.
