Deputy President William Ruto suffered immensely on Monday after a section of Nyamira leaders skipped his functions across the county.
With the absence of Governor John Nyagarama who is in US for treatment, Deputy Governor Amos Nyaribo was among few leaders who showed up.
At Keroka, Ruto dished Sh100 million for development of the level 4 hospital before commissioning Nyangori water project.
Also, he issued Sh11 million which will go to Rural Electrification programme in Kitutu Masaba constituency.
But Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang'i missed the event despite also not showing up in parliamentary probe over the controversial importation of sugar.
Also absent were MPs Vincent Kemosi (West Mugirango) and Ben Momanyi of Borabu despite having promised to back Ruto's 2022 bid.
Further, local ODM leader led by treasurer Timothy Bosire snubbed the event even as the DP launched onslaught in Raila Odinga's stronghold.
The ODM party has been controlling the region and presence of any of her leaders could have boosted the DP's chances ahead of 2022 elections.
