A section of Jubilee leaders has slammed the opposition for spearheading propaganda that the Jubilee Party is experiencing problems.
This follows reports published in a local daily indicating that there were some political disagreements in the ruling party.
But speaking at Kaptinga, Kapseret Sub County on Sunday during a five-churches fundraiser, the Jubilee leaders led by Uasin Gishu governor Jackson Mandago, Senate leader of majority Kipchumba Murkomen, Senate Deputy Speaker Kithure Kindiki and Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi claimed the opposition was spreading the falsehoods.
"I want to assure the opposition that Jubilee will remain strong. However much (the opposition) tries to spread lies about the unity, Jubilee will continue to build roads and create paths for the success of the big four pillars," said Mandago.
Similar sentiments were echoed by the Tharaka Nithi Senator who stressed that the Jubilee party will jump over the obstacles of propaganda being propagated by the opposition chief Raila Odinga.
Kindiki also asked the opposition to stop taking advantage of the warm gesture extended to their leader Raila Odinga by President Uhuru Kenyatta through the infamous 'handshake'.
All other leaders who spoke quashed allegations that 'all was not well' in the ruling party. Instead, the message to the former premier's stable was that they ought to stop meddling on the affairs of Jubilee.
Former Gatanga MP Peter Kenneth who was the event chief guest in the event said a succession deal brokered when the Jubilee Party was formed still stands.
