Kisii and Nyamira matatu associations’ have challenged the leadership of Kisii County and Nyamira to come up with the measures which will end the wrangles at the Keroka market.
The associations warned the politicians against making everything political and using other people as their scape goats.
According to them, the wrangles have been a big blow to their business and their customers since once there are wrangles, all businesses come to a standstill.
Led by chairman, Mose Okongo , they said they complained of loss of customers due to these constant brawls.
“We have been losing more customers since nobody can travel where there is no peace. We urge our two governors to come up with a clear message about the fate of Keroka market,” said Okongo.
They also challenged the leaders who are politicising the wrangles for political ambitions.
“We are giving a strong warning to those who might be politicising this matter since we are the ones who are being affected once there is conflict in this market. What we want is peace so that we can enjoy our business,” added Okongo.
The Keroka issue has been said happening every now and then due to revenue collection.
